We have a fully functional and well equipped O&G ICU (Obstetrics and Gynaecology Intensive Care Unit) with 2 beds at RG Hospital and Medical Research Institute. It is a specialized intensive care unit focused on the critical care of women with high-risk obstetric (pregnancy-related) or gynaecological conditions. This unit is designed to provide intensive monitoring and treatment for complications during pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, and gynecological surgeries.

Key Focus Areas of O&G ICU:

1. Obstetric Critical Care:

• Severe preeclampsia/eclampsia

• Postpartum hemorrhage (PPH)

• Sepsis during pregnancy

• Pulmonary embolism

• Acute kidney or liver injury during pregnancy

• HELLP syndrome (Hemolysis, Elevated Liver enzymes, Low Platelet count)

2. Gynecological Critical Care:

• Complications following major gynecological surgeries (e.g., hysterectomy)

• Severe infections like pelvic inflammatory disease (PID)

• Cancer-related emergencies in female reproductive organs
