ICCU - Intensive Coronary Care Unit

ICCU stands for Intensive Coronary Care Unit (also sometimes called Cardiac ICU). It’s a specialized unit in a hospital designed to care for patients with serious heart-related conditions that require constant monitoring and intensive treatment. We have full functional 5 beds ICCU at RG Hospital and Medical Research Institute.
The ICCU is equipped with advanced monitoring and life-support systems for patients dealing with severe cardiac issues, such as:

  • Heart attacks (Myocardial Infarction)

  • Severe heart failure

  • Arrhythmias (irregular heartbeats)

  • Post-cardiac surgery recovery

  • Cardiogenic shock

  • Angina (chest pain) that's unstable

  • Acute or life-threatening heart conditions

  • Recently undergone cardiac procedures (like angioplasty or bypass surgery)

  • Unstable vital signs requiring continuous ECG and blood pressure monitoring
